Teach Me How to Hook Up Three Computers All Wirelessly
I need help hooking up three computers to the net—all wireless. I've read so much about this, trying to figure this out but I only get more confused. I have a four-year-old Dell desktop, a two-year-old old HP desktop and a three-month-old Dell laptop. I have a DLink DI624 router and cable internet.

Any USB GamePad That Can Send Keystrokes
Being an older gamer, I still have trouble using the keyboard as opposed to a gamepad or joystick to move in different directions. I've used a free download to map/convert gamepad movements to keyboard arrow keys, but it doesn't work that well. Has anyone seen a USB gamepad or keyboard that can send keyboard characters directly to the PC?

Need a Command to Empty Log Files

I've been searching for a windows command equivalent to "cat /dev/null > file", but haven't found anything useful. I need a command that will empty log files while they are still in use. I'm an admin at work and I take care of a couple dozen servers running Peoplesoft. We have log files and trace files that grow over 1GB in size. Right now the only way I can "empty" them on Windows is to shut down the app and delete them. That's just not desirable, especially in production. So is there a way to empty them while the app is still running?

SLC vs. MLC in Netbooks

My new Dell Mini 9 shipped with an STEC 8GB SSD drive, which I was planning to replace once I got it with one of the drives available from www.mydigitaldiscount.com. Question is: what should I go with?

They have SLC SSD drives with 43/26 read/write speeds and MLC SSD drives with 70/15 read/write, both compatible with the Dell's "PCIe" slot for the disk, including the physical dimensions, etc (wouldn't it be nice if there were any standards here).

Now obviously the MLC SSD's are cheaper and you can go with higher capacities, but lets just focus on performance here. Which will be faster in typical Netbook applications, i.e. Windows XP boot time, launching Firefox, browsing, etc? Will the read performance of the MLC drives dominate here, or will the write performance of the SLC drives matter more?

Need Help Getting Audio Config Front Panel to Work

I have a Coolermaster 1000 case and an ASUS Maximus Extreme motherboard. This motherboard comes with a separate plug-in audio board. I have looked all over and have read the manual but it does not say how to hook up my front panel audio to the motherboard or audio board. I got the front panel USB, IEEE, and ESATA hooked up but cannot figure out how to hook up my front panel audio.

Need Help Installing a Fan to This Motherboard
I recently purchased an Ultra Md3 Media Dashboard. I cannot figure out how to connect the "fan connector" to the mother board. The manual has a generic picture of a hand holding the connector next to a stock Intel CPU heatsink/fan.

I have this same exact fan and cannot see anyplace that this would be connected to. Additionally the connector that is on the dashboard does not look like a connector at all. Rather two wires that converge to a piece a plastic. There is no place to insert a pin from the board or fan. I was wondering if anyone has installed this item before and if so, assist me.

Can Two Wireless Laptops Chat
I was wondering if a couple of computer laptops with built in wireless cards can be set up to talk to each other (without a modem/broadband or otherwise).

And if so, what would be the best way to protect them from others who have similar wireless units who could be picking up the transmission signal to connect to a laptop cafe modem?
